7 MINUTE WORKOUT

A big trend in 2017 was to be fit and stay fit, even if you are travelling. You don’t have to spend your day in the hotel gym or running along the beach every morning. It is proved that it can be done in 7 minutes. Since the 7 minute workout gained popularity through an article in the New York Times, the number of apps increased sharply.

All of them are meant to be fit in an intensive 7 minute sessions. Scientific research indicates that is has effect. But even if you are still in doubt, you can get started with these apps. Seven minutes of activity are better than not to exercise at all. Even people with little time can always free up time for 7 minutes, right?

What exactly does it mean? The 7 minute workout isn’t a smooth sales pitch. There is serious scientific research underlying this fast exercise. The research shows that short and intense workouts are as effective as long cardio workouts. Perhaps even more. In the 7 minute workout you train the most important muscle groups, 30 seconds per exercise with 10 seconds of rest. The exercises are aimed at the upper and lower body, including legs and belly. You don’t need any special equipment. Just a chair, a wall or a yoga mat to comfortably lie on the ground. In most exercises you use your own body weight, for example during squats.

The 7 minute workout challenge app that everyone installs and sells best. On a calendar you see which days you did a workout. It is possible to earn points, wherein rewards are given. Choose a male of female trainer. Then you choose whether you want to see a photo or a video of the workout. The app also has an option to capture your weight. This allows you to see the effect of the exercises.

The 7 minute workout app has an interface in flat design. It contains the usual 12 exercises, where you will hear spoken incentives when the next exercise begins. During the exercise, you don’t have to watch the timer. All exercises are explained in the app. With a purchase of € 1,79 you will have access to the pro functions. Think of the possibility to watch a workout logbook.

Carrot fit is a digital trainer which subjects you daily to the 7 minute workout and checks your progress. In addition, Carrot is not very gentle.  Words like ‘’Lose weight fatbag’’ are used to continue. The app works together with HealthKit. Your weight and activities are synchronized with the app. Carrot can also read data from other sport apps and give a comment. So be sure to keep away from the fridge when using this app, because Carrot knows everything.

However, it is important to eat healthy. You can’t use the 7 minute workout to compensate a junk food diet. My experience with the 7 minute workout is positive.
